Using Sales Inventory
1. At the Customer field, enter the six-character customer ID for the report.
If you are uncertain of the customer ID, see Navigating Net Yield - Selecting a Customer ID Code.
2. At the Item Code field, enter the item group ID for the item. A Select An Item window will display; scroll to the item you want to run the inquiry for and press Enter to confirm your selection. If no transactions exist for the item selected the following message will display: "Nothing found to display!!! Space bar to continue."
3. Command options will appear:
- Exit – Select Exit to exit and return to the Select An Item window.
- Text – Select Text to display sales order item text on the screen, if any exists.
The following information will display:
Header
- Customer – The customer ID code and name and if the Strict COOL setting is set to Y (Y=yes) for the customer.
- Item – The item code and name and the COOL control level, strict or loose.
- Price – The price that appears is the base selling price for the customer adjusted by any item or customer related pricing exceptions and the unit of measure.
- Cost – The cost that appears is dependent on the costing method for that item. The current weighted average cost for the item appears regardless of the costing method for that item and the invoicing unit of measure.
- Onhand – The current on-hand balance for the item.
Detail
Unlotted items – The transaction detail will display all open transaction regardless of the number of days or day in the week setting for all transaction set to Y (Y=yes) in the Inventory Availability settings found in Sales Options.
- Type – The type of transaction:
- Date – The date of the transaction
- SP – The sales rep on the open sales order
- Partner – If the transaction is a sales order the customer ID will display; if the transaction is a purchase order, the vendor will display.
- Reference – The reference number for the transaction
- Quantity – The quantity ordered on sales orders, the quantity to receive or produce on purchase orders, work orders, and planned transfers; or, the quantity of raw material needed on a work order or the “from” quantity on a planned transfer. Transactions that increase the available balance are a positive number, transactions that reduce the available balance are negative numbers.
- Available – A cumulative total of the available balance by date
- COOL – The COOL identity for the transaction
Lotted items – For lotted items the detail of the inquiry is separated by the lots and transactions that are within the days or day of the week or those that are beyond the days or date of the week set in the Inventory Availability section of Sales Options.
- Loc – The location ID sorted by location and lot number or the type of transaction, sorted by date.
- Lot/Ref – The warehouse lot number or transaction reference number
- Date – The date of the transaction
- SP – The sales rep on the open sales order
- Partner – If the transaction is a sales order the customer ID will display; if the transaction is a purchase order, the vendor will display.
- Quantity – The available balance for the lot or the quantity ordered on sales orders, the quantity to receive or produce on purchase orders, work orders, and planned transfers; or, the quantity of raw material needed on a work order or the “from” quantity on a planned transfer. Transactions that increase the available balance are a positive number, transactions that reduce the available balance are negative numbers
- Cost – The cost of the lot based on the costing method for the item and in Item Costing within Location setting in Ledger Options.
- Cool – The country of origin identity. See COOL Identity for more information.
- Item Info – The item info lot attributes for the lot or transactions; or, the sales rep ID and customer ID for open sales orders.
